Sean, age 7 from Guild 024, Oak Park (Chicago)
What kinds of things do you like to make?
I've only done it few times, but cap rockets. It's where I mix vinegar and baking soda in a sealed container and then I just wait a few seconds and then boom! it just flies off.
What is your favorite project you have done?
Definitely electrolysis of water. It's where water is separated into its component parts, because electricity breaks those bonds but you have to put in some sodium sulphate or some sodium chloride, sodium sulphate works better. Sodium chloride isn't that hard to find, it's the same thing as salt! But as chemists call it, table salt.

What are you excited about learning in the future?
Making an Arduino Robot in Hacker Scouts.
Which badges are you most excited about?
What do you enjoy about getting together with your Hacker Scouts community?
I get to build and dissect. I like to see friends.
If you could make anything-what is your dream project?
To do the Barking Dog Experiment. You need nitric oxide (laughing gas), carbon disulphide and mix them up in a giant test tube and then you take a flame and put it over it and take the top off and then put the flame above the giant test tube and if you ever do this, I won't give away what's going to happen after that.
